Q: What time is the auction?
A: The silent auction and cocktail hour begins at 6pm. The dinner and live auction will begin between 7-7:30.
Q: If I don't buy a VIP table, where will I sit?
A: VIP tables will be labeled with specific names and located near the front of the room. Non-VIP tables are "open-seating" for anyone who purchased a non-VIP ticket.
Q: Why do I have to pay for drinks after I have already purchased an event ticket?
A: We realize this is asking a lot of our auction attendees; however, the primary function of this event is to raise money for St. Theresa School. The money raised by alcohol sales is divided equally among teachers and can be used to purchase classroom supplies.
Q: What food will be served at the auction?
A: This year's buffet will feature two entrees catered by Zesty Gourmet of Leesburg. There will be a beef and chicken entree, as well as a roasted portobello mushroom vegetarian option. The main dishes and salad are gluten-free.
Q: What type of alcohol will be served at the auction?
A: We will have: beer from Ocelot Brewing Company, red and white wine options, vodka, gin and rum.
Q: What is the Signature "Toast the Teachers" Cocktail?
A: Spiked punch! What else would you have at prom? The best part of the signature cocktail is the color-changing, thermodynamic cup. Your kids will love them!
Q: Do I have to dress up?
A: We request cocktail attire. Vintage, "throwback" attire is not required.... but encouraged!
Q: What does the PTO do with the money raised at the event?
A: The mission of the STS PTO is to support the school's academic, social, fine arts and athletic objectives. To achieve this, the PTO funds many school programs throughout the year. Some examples of PTO expenditures are: transportation for all field trips, Shakespeare costumes and supplies for the Middle School play, the field trip to the opera, the Pete the Cat show for the Elementary School, Catholic Schools Week activities, classroom supply stipends, and much more!
Last year's auction focused on raising money for "Exercising Mind and Body." PTO purchases included: Library computers, library desks, a book drop-box, resurfacing the track, three soccer goals, PE equipment, 9-square in the air, a gaga pit, and fitness stations for the playground.. being installed in the Spring!
